Dear Shiloh Family,

After being totally overwhelmed with a birthday motorcycle, the lad with tear-filled eyes, stammered sentiments to his parents.  “My heart is bigger than my words.  I’m happier than I know how to say.”

Those present last Sunday certainly understand when I say “Amen” to the little guy’s dilemma.  Brother Paul’s heartfelt testimony of how David Brown, the Men’s group, and our church ministered to his family and our community ushered in the presence of the Spirit of God.  Our music team then paved the way to worship.  The Booth Brothers were great, but the Holy Spirit of the Lord was greater.  There were testimonies and tears, love and laughter, praise and preaching.

Psalm 98:1

98 O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.  KJV

However, perhaps the most encouraging moment for your Pastor occurred during a conversation with a guest.  As I welcomed them to our church, they all but interrupted me,” Pastor, your church is so accommodating, and your people are wonderful.  We were greeted at the door with a smile and assisted to our seat.  They even asked if we needed anything.  This is great!”

Please understand, “My heart is bigger than my words.  I’m happier than I know how to say.”  Thank you, my brothers and sisters.  Keep it up!  It’s working.

Also, please know that your Pastor is diligently Praying, working, and seeking the leadership of the Holy Spirit to provide a total worship experience that speaks to our entire church body.

Speaking of a worship experience, part of our worship during the Christmas season is the blessing of the Angel Tree.  I’m excited to say, the Angels are coming in.  The Angel tree should be up within the next two weeks.  Please, take one or more.  We are proud of our College/Career class for sponsoring and organizing this event. If you have questions, contact Melissa in the church office Monday-Friday.

The door to a person’s heart is often opened or shut by the first impression.

God bless you all,

Pastor Derrell
