Dear Shiloh Family,

This week’s letter is solemn, yet celebratoryOur thoughts are directed toward three very influential people and their homegoing experiences.

Wednesday, our hearts mourned with the families of Mr. Moe Gass, and Mrs. Joan LongTheir absence will leave a noticeable emptiness in our body of believersHowever, sweet memories of smiles and laughter will linger in our hearts and mindsThey will be sorely missed, but knowledge of their current situation, surroundings, and relation to the Savior will overcome grief and loneliness. These two precious Saints loved deeply with the love of Jesus.

 1 John 4:11-13

11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. Seeing God Through Love. 12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us  NKJV

Consequently, both families still need your prayers and thoughtsGive them a call, send social media encouragement, or drop them a letter when you think of themMore than anything, hold them up to the Father in prayer.

Oh yes, I mentioned three influential peopleThis week, we celebrate the homegoing of the most impactive person who walked the face of the EarthHis presence changed the world, His death shocked the world, and His resurrection placed the final stamp of approval on how Jesus Christ saved the worldThe empty tomb is the reason we can celebrate the death of His faithful followersHe defeated death, hell, and the grave for usThe angels informed the ladies at the tomb that morning, “He is not here; He is risen.”  They ran from the place of interment proclaiming the news, “He’s alive, He’s alive, He’s alive.”  I submit to you that truth continues to echo throughout the realms of time and spaceMY JESUS IS ALIVEHis body ascended to the Heavenly Father, but His Holy Spirit lives in those who trust in Him“He lives within my heart.”

Sunday, we will proclaim His resurrection with a sunrise service beginning at 7:00 AM. Breakfast will be served immediately following the serviceThen at 11:00 AM, we will worship Him in an outdoor service followed by an Easter egg hunt for the children. Bring your family, friends, lawn chairs, and Bibles, and pray for good weather

EASTER CONFIRMS WHAT CHRISTMAS BEGAN AND HEAVEN WILL BE.

God bless you all,

Pastor Derrell
