Dear Shiloh Family, Content of the correspondence includes, but is not limited to sermon suggestions, sermon criticism, sermon praise, song genre preference, benevolence requests, benevolence contributions, prayer requests (for, home, house, family, vehicles, employment, and oh yes, family pets), praise, and of course, those infamous requests of "I just need to meet with you for a few minutes." These are the ones that turn young brown hair into "mature" grey, because the remainder of the day is spent in gut-wrenching anticipation, recollection, and questions of "what did I say to offend someone?". Obviously, most of that was in jest, but it does get interesting. However, recently I have received some of the most encouraging texts and calls. Several of you have reached out with inquiries about how to better serve the Lord and your church. Many have shared burdens for specific ministries and offered assistance. Hands down, the most wonderful news I have received is the proclamation of new birth. In the last month, I have met with multiple students who have accepted Jesus Christ as Savior because of your efforts and witness. Wednesday night, Bradley led one of our AWANA students to Jesus. Praise the Lord for that call! Psalm 5:11 11 But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name be joyful in you. NKJV We will be baptizing this Sunday in the second service. If you are a candidate for baptism or know anyone that wou ld like to be baptized, please contact Melissa at the office. Shiloh, God is doing great things in our church family. Tell someone about Jesus, bring someone to church, and live Jesus in front of everyone Matthew 19:14 14 But Jesus said, suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. KJV New birth is the indisputable evidence of life in the body. God Bless you all, Pastor Derrell
