Dear Shiloh Family,

It was a privilege to celebrate Memorial Day and The Lord’s Supper with you last Sunday.  Honoring the brave men and women who purchased the American way with their lives and remembering the one who with His blood, purchased eternal freedom for all mankind, defines the very essence of a Christian nation.  My deepest heartfelt appreciation and sympathy is extended to the families and loved ones who experienced the pangs of loneliness during these days.

1 Peter 5:10-11:10 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.  11 To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. NKJV

This Sunday begins the vacation season for many of you.  I pray the Lord’s blessing on you and yours and that sweet rest and repose fills your days away from the grind.  While you are away, remember that the Lord’s work is continuing.  Please, stream the service if possible and most importantly, pray for your brothers and sisters who are carrying on.  Also, with the addition of two new staff members, this Summer will be an indicator of the progress of future ministries at Shiloh.  It is imperative that we maintain our giving during the holiday season.  We are His body, and together we make up the bride of Christ. What an honor and what a responsibility!

I encourage everyone to pray diligently for VBS, which begins Sunday, June 12th.  We have the awesome opportunity to plant gospel seeds in tender, fertile soil.  In lieu of that, we will be decorating next Wednesday during the regularly scheduled service time. Anita and Shae can use all the help they can enlist.  Come join in the fun.  Also, invite your children, grandchildren, and their friends to attend VBS at Shiloh.

Mark 10:13-15: 13 Then they brought little children to Him, that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked those who brought them.  14 But when Jesus saw it, He was greatly displeased and said to them, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.” NKJV

We are children of God, but children must see God in us.

God bless you all,

Pastor Derrell
