Dear Shiloh Family,

Do you remember when you bought that new recliner, or replaced the old couch with the new and improved version?  You caught your toe on the leg of the sofa because it extended a bit further than old faithful, you had to change your coffee cup from the left to right because the cup holder was opposite than before, and the color scheme was a bit off.

However, the new furniture is built for progress.  It is easier to clean, over and under, there are now two cup holders, and the potential for matching hues are endless.  Most importantly, it is the most comfortable spot in the house.  What began as awkward, has now become awesome!  Oh yeah, and that makes it a bit more palatable to pay for as well.

There is a lot going on around Shiloh in June and July.  In fact, when you enter campus on Sunday, many things will appear different.  The VBS crew did a wonderful job decorating for our children.  It all looks incredible!  We go all out for our young’uns, and the set up team did it right.  I know it will seem like an inconvenience to some, but remember, it is for our kids.  Just think of the impact it will have on the young hearts.

2 Corinthians 4:17-18

17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. NKJV

I encourage everyone to pray diligently for VBS, which begins this Sunday, June 12th, 6:30-8:30 PM.    We have the awesome opportunity to plant gospel seeds in tender, fertile soil.  Invite your children, grandchildren, and their friends to attend VBS at Shiloh.

Also, during the next two months, we will celebrate Father’s Day, take the youth on a summer retreat, the men will attend the Gridiron Conference, and all other Shiloh ministries will continue as usual.  All the while, our faithful workers will attempt to enjoy vacation time with their families.  What an awesome bunch of people, what an awesome church, but most importantly, what an awesome and mighty God we serve.

I wouldn’t be a good Pastor if I didn’t remind you that all these ministries are made possible through your weekly tithes and generous offerings.  Thank you for being such a giving church.

We experience God’s richest blessings when we share it with others.

God bless you all,

Pastor Derrell
