Dear Shiloh Family,

I am writing from Marietta, SC. You’ll be lucky to find it on a map, and I’m not sure they have the proverbial one red light. It’s virtually on the NC/SC line, and if you rub your eyes or check the rearview mirror, you’ll blow right past.

However, God knows where it is, and the Holy Spirit visited this week via the hearts of our youth and leaders. As usual, the days were filled with fun, and the nights were smothered in fellowship and worship.

I’m not going to steal the thunder of Pastor David and Bro. Juan in revealing details, but I am so proud of them and their staff. They have once again provided the opportunity for life-changing experiences and lasting relationships. And, par-for-the-course, the praise team was on target as well.

Pray for the retreaters as they travel home Friday. Also, come and support them as they lead us all in worship this Sunday.

I pray that everyone is staying out of the heat as much as possible. If not, I encourage you to wear sunscreen and stay hydrated.

Ephesians 2:4-6: 4 but God, being rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace have ye been saved), 6 and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus:

One who has been raised from the dead couldn’t sit idly silent.

PREACH/TEACH/REACH

God bless you all,
Pastor Derrell
