Dear Shiloh Family,

There will be no saga, story, pastoral wit, nor current event in the newsletter this week. Anything I can conjure or invent will pale in contrast and consideration with what Sunday represents in the lives of all mankind.

No saga, regardless of its depth of analogy will ever measure in importance to the events leading up to the moment when the stone was rolled away. No story, no matter the author will contain plot and theme like the herald of the ladies that witnessed the empty tomb that morning. No wit nor wisdom of mortal man can apex the eternal outreach of the Great Creator as He designed salvation’s path via death and the grave.  And no current event will ever be related so long, remembered so reverently, or relived so fervently as when the angel told the world, He is not here, but is risen like he said; HE IS RISEN, HE IS RISEN, HE IS RISEN - INDEED!

Matthew 28:5-7 Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. 6 He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. 7 And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you. NKJV

Please, join us Sunday as we celebrate our risen Savior. We will begin with a Sunrise Service at 7:00 AM in the Main Auditorium, followed by breakfast in the FLC.

At 11:00 AM, we plan to praise Him with an outdoor worship service followed by an Easter egg hunt for the little ones. Pray that the Lord blesses us with good weather. In the event of inclement weather, we will move into the Main Auditorium. We will let you know by Friday afternoon via Churchcast and social media.

We look forward to seeing you all on Easter Sunday at Shiloh.

The empty tomb filled the world.

God bless you all,
Pastor Derrell
